Céline joined the band about three years ago. She is, today, one of the most ‘in demand’ fiddlers on the French scene, especially in Paris, where she glides from MUGAR the Celtic/Berber band, the Monaghan String Quartet, to literally enchanting audiences with her particularly sensitive and rhythmic playing of reels and jigs with Dirty Linen.

Michael Mc Donnell

Vocals, mandolin, guitar
Michael first heard the music in his father’s pub in County Kilkenny. The country fairs and hurling matches were important social events where stories, music and songs were sung and exchanged. His first experience of playing in public was in the folk-clubs and Irish bars in London in the 70’s and since his arrival in France in 1978 he has continued to delight and charm audiences with his songs and humour.

Denis Lafont

Bouzouki, vocals

Denis began playing bouzouki shortly after it was introduced into Irish Music. He has developed a very unique and personal style of harmonic and rhythmic backing to both the tunes and the songs. His harmony vocals are always exciting and unusual and a very important part of the Dirty Linen sound.
